Meet Dr. Sonia Hinojosa
Dentist in Olympia, WA
I am Sonia Hinojosa, and my practice philosophy is that I believe in bettering the lives of my patients by ensuring the health, beauty, and function of their smile.
My desire to practice dentistry was born out of a love for art and science, building connections with people, and having a knack for problem solving.
As a native Californian, I graduated from the University of California in San Diego with a bachelor’s degree in human biology. I went on to achieve my Doctor of Dental Surgery degree from the University of Texas Health in San Antonio. I received a significant award which recognized my qualities of perseverance and unfailing spirit as well as numerous other awards for dedication to service, education, and leadership.
I subsequently enrolled in a one-year Advanced Education in General Dentistry Residency program at the Central Texas Veterans Health Care Hospital and expanded my abilities in complex restoration of natural teeth, implant surgery, IV moderate sedation, periodontal therapies, and complex dental surgeries.
Dedicated to lifelong learning, I am a member of the American Dental Association, Academy of General Dentistry, and Washington State Dental Association.
Outside of work, I can be found experimenting in the kitchen, practicing yoga, belting out songs on road trips, or hiking with my dog, Ollie, the not-so-mini-Aussie. I am excited to be a part of the Fisher Jones Family Dentistry team where I will remain committed to providing excellent dental care while creating a positive patient experience.
